About the Team:

alan headshotAlan Rosenblith:

Alan Rosenblith has been active as a social entrepreneur for five years. He has collaborated with Fritjof Capra, Hazel Henderson, L. Hunter Lovins, Marjorie Kelly, Bernard Lietaer, and many others to develop outreach tools for community economic development, as well doing work in the fields of sustainable agriculture and green building.

Alan brings systemic, ecological thinking to every project he works on, and integrates individual, social, and environmental needs into his design strategies.

david headshotDavid Galli:

David Galli has ten years of experience in small business and entrepreneurship, in roles ranging from employee to owner, and a great zeal for volunteer work. David is a longtime advocate for social justice, and has recently become interested in how social entrepreneurship can offer practical solutions to ideological problems and promote cooperation, equality, and sustainability.

A mild-mannered computer tutor by day, David spends his off-hours collaborating with other creative Portlanders. He has lent his copywriting, sound engineering, graphical, and web design skills to projects ranging from a family history told through knitwear design to a series of web-based outreach and educational brochures.

David has been a firm believer in bettering the world by bettering his interpersonal relationships since before he was much good at it.

katin headshotKatin Imes:

Katin Imes is an Internet systems developer, corporate trainer, and software developer with over twenty years of experience. He was one of three founders responsible for the 1998 launch of San Luis Obispo’s SLO Hours, a local currency based on the Ithica Hours system.

His motto is, "High-Tech, High-Touch: Strike a Balance," and he has been bridging technology to people throughout his career by providing classes and seminars in high-tech, as well as implementing software and systems that work for humans.

Katin casually studies linguistics, ontology, modern philosophy, and WWII history, and is enchanted by South Seas culture and style. Find his social network on Gaia at http://katin.gaia.com.

Advisory Board:

Cynthia Casas:

Cynthia Casas's professional development has been shaped by her international experiences in the corporate, government and small business sectors. Early in her career she worked for IBM in Singapore and GE Capital in London. Upon returning to the US, she spent seven years in Washington, DC working for the World Bank Group in its External Affairs/Media and Corporate Strategy departments.

Since obtaining her master's in business, Casas has worked as a social enterprise consultant for startups like Global Giving (US), Voxiva (Peru), and Mobell (UK). Most recently she consulted with the Alaska Federation of Natives to create an entrepreneurship competition and incubator, patterned after a successful program she helped mainstream at the World Bank.

Casas received her MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, and her BA in international business/marketing from American University. She is fluent in Spanish and has lived in Asia, Latin America, and Europe.

Chris Cooper:

Community Prosper is very glad that Chris Cooper, originally a U.K. native, has joined our efforts this side of the pond.

A University of London graduate in economics and law, Chris spent three years as the Executive Officer in charge of the Foreign Section of the Planning Unit for a major British government department. Following that, he had thirteen years in management with Barclays Bank plc, working in several countries.

In Oregon, Chris has sixteen years experience as a small businessperson, currently including his own series of financial workshops and a financial software consultancy.

He has a passion for spreading the word about both natural healing and the energy of money.
